Plan your cuts before you buy. Enter your stock length, for example a 6 m steel tube, aluminium profile, timber batten or pipe, and the lengths and quantities you need. The calculator below works out the cutting plan with the least waste, how many bars to buy, and which offcuts are long enough to keep.
How to use it
- Add one or more stock lengths. Leave quantity blank if you can buy as many as you need. Add a price to compare cost.
- Add each piece you need with its length and quantity. A label (A, B, C…) helps you read the plan.
- Set the blade kerf, the width each saw cut removes (around 2–3 mm for a cut-off saw), and any end trim.
- Press Calculate, then Print to take the plan to the workshop.
